Gaia's Paradigm & Some Colorful S#!t

Featuring the artwork of Brea Darby

We have brought together art, science, mythology and irreverence in a playful yet thought-provoking exhibit experience of the interconnectedness of life on earth. the exhibition’s title is a riff on the boundary-pushing ideas of james lovelock’s gaia hypothesis, which theorizes that the earth and all of its ecosystems function as a self-regulating organism.

now let’s discover the exhibition’s art.

let’s explore the colorful, asymmetrical, creative web that sustains our creative ecosystem – while acknowledging the messy, unpredictable, and often absurd nature of an artist’s creative existence. how do we balance the beauty of our planet with the consequences of our actions? can we live in harmony with the earth, or are we too busy creating our own colorful messes?

Chaos & Clarity: Expressions of the Abstract

Featuring the artwork of Antione Lacey

This exhibition is built around the tension: The cord between control and freedom, submission and defiance, and as the exhibit’s title suggests; chaos and clarity. In one moment, a blooming flower lifts your state to joyful bliss; in the next, the minimal gestures of the photographer’s subject cries for immense empathy. This to-and-fro mirrors the human condition, where chaos holds the seed of insight, and where clarity emerges through conflict.

Exhibiting photographer, Antione Lacey’s lens responds to the inner landscapes of emotion, trauma, forgiveness, and survival. His works often abandon the literal while embracing spontaneity abstract rebirth.

Our world is defined by complexity. It shows that disorder and harmony can coexist and chaos’ ambiguity is not a limitation.
