The STEAM Gallery at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) is a dedicated space for showcasing student creativity at the intersection of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.  Featuring original artwork by students in grades 6–12, the gallery presents youth art in a professional museum setting, emphasizing interdisciplinary thinking, creative exploration, and real-world connections.

Through annual exhibitions and statewide calls for artists, curated in conjunction with ELLEmnop.art, LASM’s STEAM Gallery serves as an opportunity to highlight and showcase student art from across Louisiana.  The current call for art submissions is for the 2026 – 2027 exhibition season.

Through student exhibitions, workshops, artist collaborations, creative challenges, and museum-based programming, the STEAM Gallery encourages students to think beyond traditional disciplines and recognize art as a powerful tool for inquiry, innovation, problem-solving, and communication.
