Beth Williams is a Baton Rouge resident who works with various art mediums as a way to create and connect to a larger purpose. Currently, she is a full-time graduate student with the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University. Her area of interest is religious trauma and working with marginalized and oppressed populations. She uses art to help others connect and heal, including offering therapeutic interior design to clients who desire to set a healing intention in their space. The current series entitled, Divine Feminine, was originally part of a class assignment for a Diversity and Social Justice course. Expressing her journey as a Christian woman, she tells her story through paint of breaking free of oppression and finding her way to spiritual freedom outside the confines of traditional religion.
