The Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) has revitalized their student art program into what is now known as, the STEAM Art Gallery. In conjunction with ELLEmnop.Art, the program will serve as an opportunity to highlight and showcase the artwork of students who excel in visual arts throughout the East Baton Rouge Parish and surrounding area’s school system. The STEAM Art Gallery is designed to springboard art student’s desire to cultivate their artistic skills, provide them with real life art industry experience and potentially seek a future career in the arts.

‘Be Seen, Be Heard, Be Valued’ is the STEAM Gallery’s first student artist exhibition.  The exhibition features Gifted & Talented students from Westdale Middle and Baton Rouge Magnet High School.

The reception is Wednesday, September 11th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Our vision is to guide each artist through the vital steps in seeking opportunities to display their work, creating a cohesive artwork fit for gallery or museum representation, preparing their artwork for installation, and presenting themselves as working artists among their peers, community supporters, and art patrons.
