The Healthcare Gallery and Ellemnop.Art are proud to present Rapid Eye Movement (REM), a selection of 84 original works by local artist, Courtney Miley.

“REM is the stage of sleep where the sleeper experiences rapid eye movements and the ability to dream more vivid. During REM Sleep the body’s muscles are the most relaxed yet the brain acts as if the body is awake. In this solo exhibition, artist, Courtney Miley’s art places the viewer in a state of REM sleep; while awake. Viewers eyes will conduct rapid eye movements across the canvas to capture the brush strokes, while feeling a total sense of relaxation, as if they were in the REM Sleep state. Seemingly the titles of these paintings match the canvas as if they were the title of the canvas’ dream.”
